Re-Imagining New Communities has been honored with the Outstanding Peace and Security Initiative of the Year 2025 award at the International Peace and Security Awards (IPSA) ceremony held in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. The event was jointly hosted by the African Leadership Initiatives for Impact (ALII) and the Youth4Peace Agenda on Saturday, September 20 2025.

This award recognizes our tireless efforts in advancing peacebuilding and social cohesion across communities in Kenya and beyond. It affirms our core belief that sustainable peace can be achieved through inclusive participation, collaboration and the empowerment of grassroots actors.

The recognition comes at a time when communities around the world are facing rising insecurity and displacement. However, our community-led approach facilitates dialogue among our partners who include; children, teachers, faith leaders and community leaders. These have been the main actors in sharing knowledge central to building trust and resilience within the communities. This award strengthens our resolve to continue reimagining new communities where peace is not an aspiration but a lived reality.
